I Don't Think I Am Wanted
24 Answers
This afternoon I pootled along to the open day of a certain organisation (which shall remain nameless) to see what they had to offer, with a view to possibly joining. (Before anyone thinks to quip, NO it wasn't the AA!)
They seemed like a friendly bunch and after a cuppa and a chat I gathered up some leaflets and left.
I had parked my car by a row of derelict garages and as I approached it I was aware that someone was behind me. I half turned and saw it was a man wearing an anorak/parka with the hood up and he said "Give me your keys."
In a split second I spun around into a defensive stance and was just about to plant a fist full of keys into his eyes when I realised it was one of the organisers of the open day - English is not his first language.
He fearfully backed away very slowly and said " I said will we see you next week?"
Somehow I don't think so.
