Seeing things that aren't there?

Sometimes when I'm very tired, I see things like say spiders or 'black things' run across my desk or floor, etc., but when I blink again there's nothing there.

Does anyone else get this? Thanks.

flaming - Tinnitus must be an awful thing to have - it's bad enough when you get an ear infection with that ringing or buzzing sound in them. Fortunately, I don't get that very often, but does that sound like tinnitus?

I have also read that A/P's can cause suicidal thoughts - seems strange when they are actually for depression - the mind boggles sometimes!

On a similar tack, have you ever looked at a clock and thought it had stopped then, only after what seems a few seconds, the second hand at last begins to move?
I also "See" spiders/wriggly things run across the floor but always at night. I have been taking the AD Seroxat for over a year but currently reducing slowly as it has so many bad side effects, hallucinations and tinnitus being just 2 of them!!!!!!

That's very interesting to know FINA!

Personally, I couldn't put it down to taking A/D, as I've been seeing these 'spidery black things' for years. I've only taken A/D three times in the latter years.

Good luck with coming off the ones you are on. -x-

Thank you smudge. Its really amazing what these SSRI's can do to ones system!!  I would'nt recommend them to anyone and yes its true that they can actually make one more depressed and suicidal hence the litigation suits. Take care.

I've been seeing these fuzzy black things for the past 4 years. Not always when I am tired. My friend also sees them, and my daughter too. If this is a physical condition the only idea I would have would be diet. I'm 42, my daughters 14.
How exactly could we be 'seeing' the same thing? Of course it could just be an alien invasion! LOL

An alien invasion fuzzybunny? - I'm off!

Thankfully, I only see these 'black scary things' when I'm tired!

everynight i wake up at 3:30am for an odd reason...and i look out my bedroom door and i see a little girl shes about 12 years old and she has long black hair and is always wearing a long white dress...it scares the crap out of me..is it just because im tired that im seeing her or is she like a ghost or something???but when ever i wake up in the morning at the time i need to be shes not there and i know and remeber everything that i done when i woke up...why do i see her and why do i wake up at 3:30am all the time now?
