can't be sure, but from what i've read in IT chat rooms on the Internet it appears to be a worm virus, so delete it if you are worried.

If you are running Vet Anti Virus software from Computer Associates, the answer is a definite Yes, its the part of Vet that alerts you the presence of a virus/worm/trojan etc that it has detected if you have file monitoring on (you do have boot sector and file monitoring on don't you?).
