Problem with indicators on Peugeot 206
Just bought the car, it's 5 years old. The left indictor keeps coming on for no reason - if you wobble the indicator stalk it sometimes turns off, but will then come on again about 30 seconds later. The garage (where I bought the car recently) have said over the phone that it's probably the stalk and they may need to replace it. However I now that the electrics on 206's can be dodgy and don't want to get fobbed off - could it be the stalk and if so, will replacing it solve the problem? Thanks for any help.

One bloke decided I was trying to rip him off so didn't get the job done, he just kept wiggling it. Three weeks later he had a fire in the car caused by the electrics around the steering column! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
