Cold Sore 'quick fix' remedies...?
22 Answers
Good morning to you all,
I've had a cold sore since Saturday and yesterday I bought Zovirax. This morning I've woken up with a HUGE cold sore blisters and they've gone a little yellow (I know this sounds disgusting). I have never suffered from a cold sore, but this sure makes for it.
I am at work tomorrow so I am asking if anyone has any quick remedies.

I have recently bought Virulite Cold Sore Device (lloyds pharmacy) and it is the BEST thing I have ever bought - check all the reviews on google - its on offer for £19.99 - a bit expensive but so is a tiny tube of zovirax two or three times a year!

Cold sore has no cure and neither does herpes simplex virus which is the virus responsible for the condition. In most cases the condition goes away even without any form of treatment. However, medication helps to reduce the duration of the condition and also helps in preventing cases of future outbreaks.
Medication should be administered with regards to whether one is having their first outbreak or whether it is a recurrent or if one is attempting to prevent future outbreaks. In the case of a first outbreak, one can use oral antiviral medicines. These medications not only help to reduce pain but they also help to improve the healing time. On the other hand, if for example you are experiencing recurrent cases, these medicines can help reduce the severity and the duration:
• Topical cream or ointments which are either available with or without prescription.
• Oral antiviral medicines which are available by prescription only.
For those people experiencing recurrent and painful outbreaks of cold sore, their best option would be to take oral antivirals which should be take on a daily basis. They should take also some online help like http:// ranzynn .com/co ld-sore -remedi es . This helps to prevent recurring cases of the condition. Any individual with a weakened immune system may need a higher dosage of these medicines.
