just watched the bold 2 in 1 advert and am surprised at the dialogue, young girl playing with her phone says, mum i need some money for my phone, mum says go and get me some wash detergent then, no please or thank you or kiss my backside, maybe im getting old but surely manners should be shown????
@ Meryl.....it sticks in my mind because the mother says to the daughter "that phone wastes so much money", and to me, the way she pronounces the word "wastes" is so odd, it took me a while to understand, lol ;)
Is it just me, or have Bold slightly changed the ad recently? I'm sure the mother used to say something like "maybe you're not so useless after all" at the end. I'm sure the version I saw on telly the other night is different? And the girl wasn't so sulky/obnoxious/ill mannered.
@2sp......I think the "maybe you're not so useless after all" remark is made in a different Bold ad by a father to his son,.......(not that I watch much telly, like......, heheh) ;)
Perhaps they got sick of folk asking why does the woman say "that phone WEARS so much money"......I've just remembered that's what it sounded like, lol :)
Manners rarely exist these days. It's a very sad reflection of the times. I have always said please and thank you and will always hold a door open for someone, help neighbours with shopping etc.
