Back to the Gym

I have just had the flu and it wiped me out. It was followed within a day (just when I thought I was getting better) by a gastric type thing for a few days. Needless to say after all that I was shattered and just slept. Although I feel alot better now just the thought of going back to the gym is tiring me out! When is the best time to go back? Give it a week or so then go back? What do you reckon? It is doing my head in not being 'up to going'. Thanks.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.ah the guilt! whenever i stop for some genuine reason for a week, it drags out to three. do you have a steam room at your gym? that's so good for a cold and it gets you back into it slowly.... also i hope you are eating lots of fresh fruit and veg and drink ginger boiled in water with honey and lemon all the time til you get better.
ive just gone throu 4 weeks of illness, cold/flu, conjuntivitis, gasto thingy...its wiped me out but i feel bad i havnt been to gym either....espeically as i really had noticed my fitness levels really increase...today i feel much better but im going to wait at least a week before heading back to gym, its not worth over doing it all because of being too impatient.
