------ in a manner of speaking

whilst i have been getting rejections from applications, and even no responses at all - i signed up with two agencies

one of them have sent me to a firm for this week only, to cover for holiday absences - and i have just got home from the first day

the work is very menial, far far below my capabilities and skills - but at least it's something

ColinandJess is right about codes but it's fairly straightforward to get your codes sorted.
I can understand you not wanting to sign on for a couple of weeks. I have signed on for longer periods but can't face going through it all again unless I really have to
Well done excel for keeping your work ethic up and staying in the loop, hope some better comes along soon.
Well done Excel and good luck

thanks
Well done, excel xx onwards and upwards. I hope something suitable comes along soon xx
I hope this job will lead to better things for you, excel. Just grit your teeth and bear it for this week. Having a reason to get out of bed in the morning is good and it's even better if you're getting paid to do so.

Baldric, that's not very nice.

Nor is the Quote I highlighted Tilly, I genuinely wish Excel all the luck going jobwise, I just thought that quote was rather needless!

Jeza, thank you

my time on here has been limited of late - how are things with mic? (if you don't mind my asking)
Well done excelsior-1

Always easier to get another job when you have a job, so here's hoping you get something better soon.
That's excellent news, hope all goes well for you.
Excel Mic is 'as okay as he can be'. Thanks for asking.

Allow me to tell you a true story. The company I worked for made their board members retire at 55. One of them did not want to but made to go anyway. He wanted another job and got one on the fruit and veg aisle in the supermarket. He was so good at restocking and keeping it tidy they made him supervisor. A year or so later the F&V manager retired and he got the job. Last time I saw him he said he had never been so happy.
Glad to hear that something has come your way, the search can be very disheartening, but good on you for preservering ...all the best
Excel really pleased for you. Hope something better turns up soon. x
Good for you to have accepted it! Have done some lousy jobs to keep my head above water, better than drowning!
excel, how are things going for you?
