By the phrase " the same direction" I presume you mean financial rack and ruin linda ? Unlikely but Salmond has yet to answer really important fiscal questions. My best guess is that if there is a YES vote today, he will have to go cap in hand to the IMF sooner rather than later, in order for his new country to work at all. My estimation is that it will sooner rather than later.

Yes but will the IMF lend to him after he renades on Scotland's share of the National debt when he throws his toys out when told be can't have the pound. Their credit rating will be Nil.

If he played is cards right Scotland could do very well for itself - after a bumpy ride for a few years until it got going.

Salmonds problem,especially after one of his chums vowed vengeance on companies, is that no one will trust him so raising capital will be difficult and expensive.
