Im not well up on the way MSN Messenger works, but my daughter is getting emails saying that it will no longer be free and will cost 10 a month to use...does anyone know if this is true or not? Grateful for your reply
Definitely not true. Agree with LazyGun, sounds like a wind-up or possibly a scam to get financial info. Delete all these emails and empty trash; don't open them. Only legitimate emails I receive from msn have the address [email protected] .
as suggested in the (genuine!!!) bbc link from my post of yesterday, an easy way to check the validity of any e-mail forward advisory is to "google" the gist - in this case, something like "microsoft to charge for msn", and you'll soon find links to something demonstrating how true it is - or not.
