I had two very unpleasant incidents with people either over reacting or being downright judgemental and nasty on here yesterday.

Sorry to single you out as an example but what bugs me is un-aimed criticisms like this, where I fall into the category of taking an opposing view to the complainant in a thread and can't tell if the 'judgemental' allegation is aimed at me, or not.
If you don't name names, they have no opportunity to examine their output and, if justified, moderate their behaviour towards you (and others, to boot).
In summary, using generalisms tends to suck in those who self-identify as the target and, hence, all the - unintended - taking of offence.
