My car passed its MOT but an advisory was that the drivers seat base is loose, can anyone tell me if this is just a case of tightening or a bigger job.

probably just needs tightening, If the floor was rusted enough to loosen the seat base it would have failed the MOT.

Get it done ASAP as a rattly seat base can damage the threads of the fasteners. A stitch in time....

You might want to get someone else who knows cars to have a quick look at it. I used to have a Micra, and the advisory on one MOT from the dealership was that the driver door hinges needed replacing or the door would fall off. It hadn't fallen off by the time I got rid of it, twelve years later.
