Microsoft Surface 2
1 Answers
I'm looking at getting the above - £249 version - and was wondering if anyone had any feedback about the same.
The reviews are generally pretty good; the model comes with Word and Excel, so would be ideal for me being on the road and being able to type meeting notes as I go.
Dumb question; would I need to buy something else to give me full mobile capability, ie, to send e-mails away from the office?? Does that make sense?
Thanks

Windows RT is basically the "metro" front end of Windows 8 but without the full function Windows underneath.
So it can only run "apps" downloaded from the Windows Store and not "proper" Windows programs.
The Surface 2 has sold very badly and Microsoft keep having to reduce the price to get rid of old stock.
There is also a question mark about the whole future of Windows RT and Microsoft may kill it off so you could be buying a "dead end".
Not it is the Surface Pro devices that run the full function Windows.
