New Laptop Issues

hello, on new laptop Windows 8, using chrome
for some reason, i cannot access national lottery site, desptite being able to access other sites
Also, i paid extra for them (pc world)to transfer files from my old computer. Where would they be on my comp do you think?

One of the great things about Windows 8 is the search.
Click the windows icon at the bottom left of the screen and you should get the start programs screen. Just start typing in the name of one of your old files and a search text field should appear containing what you type. It'll come up with a list of matches.
Of course if you don't know the names of any of your files then that won't work :-)
