Freesat Dish

They have a Samsung Smart television with Freesat installed.
The cable has been connected from the LNB of the dish to the TV.
Even using a meter and manually moving the dish there is no connection showing between the TV and the dish, not even the slightest sign.
Anyone know what they are doing wrong?

I'm not sure who 'they' are but I would suggest they haven't got the sat tracker co-ords correct on their equipment.

Are you sure that it is Freesat not Freeview that is installed?

Free sat needs a viewing card and a satellite receiver (like a Sky Box) I think they are confusing Free sat with Freeview as well. Freeview comes via an ordinary aerial not a sat dish!

Freesat needs no card. Sky freesat needs a card.

^^ I was thinking of the 'Free sat' card you can buy from Sky to use in a sky box. Just checked, a few TVs do come with free sat already installed now. I still think it just comes via the ordinary aerial though not through a satellite dish, it is a joint venture between BBC and ITV. ( I may be wrong about the aerial though)

Should the TV be on Auto Scan when moving the Dish or BBC 1.

As the Freesat is already installed in their TV it should of course be on BBC 1
(101).
Still not the slightest signal.
