Perished Rubber Glove

In my garage, probably rather a long time ago, a rubber glove slipped down the back of the rubbish bin and ended up, unbeknownst to anyone, on top of a tool-box, where it proceeded to go all nasty and gooey and perished. The toolbox lid now has a Very sticky black blob on it - how do I get it off ?

I had the same problem with a yellow rubber glove that I left on top of some music CDs, it perished and ruined 3 or 4 CD cases, couldn't get rid of it, it was hard and yellow, had to throw the cases out!
