has anyone else tried to prove dough in a microwave? Sounds logical but will it work???

How much of an advantage was that having just pretty much made the technical challenge. I'd have thought they might have thought to change it or something as it did seem to present something of an unfair advantage though I suppose there is always a chance some of them will have made something and so last minute as the first two are filmed the same day I think.
Still, maybe not the best way to win best in technical.

Yes they are both filmed on the same day. If Chetna's signature bake had failed horribly then the comments that Paul and Mary would have made about the failure would have helped the other bakers. I guess it had to happen at some point.
I loved the idea of putting a flavoured sugar cube in the centre of the cherry chocolate buns..I wonder if I could dry some of my home made brandy cherries in a slow oven and use them.......
