I've just got a letter from this organisation, which I think is a worthy one, offering Christmas cards. Am I alone in thinking that the Christmas card road isn't one they should go down in pursuit of funds?

All manner of goods are the route charities take to raise funds from keyrings to fridge magnets to greetings cards.

I think on this particular topic the sender would use common sense to think if a particular card was suitable.
IMO, the card sent is more often reflective of the views of the sender than the recipient. We have some very religious people in our family who send very Christian Christmas cards, even though they know we're not churchgoers. I don't think many people distinguish who they're sending them to, if you send lots, they just send the ones appropriate to the way they feel about Christmas.
I wouldn't send one to someone who was dying...when MrG was dying someone very close sent a note saying not to worry...God and Jesus were waiting to welcome him......

It is a charity I would support though, and maybe receiving one....whilst fit and healthy....would make us think and be prepared to push for a more dignified death for those close to us.
