Old film - Man with memory loss

Can someone please help - I caught the tail end of a film a few months back. A woman revisits a cottage with a man who has lost his memory (trying to trigger his memory) - I think they were in love - and after a while he realises where he is, everything is ok and then the film ends. Thanks.

Oh I know the one you mean. It starred Grear Garson and she called him "Smithy". Must look this one up!

First a question about A matter of Life and Death and now one about Random Harvest!
Another one of my favourite films. Did you know Random Harvest was the biggest box office draw in Britain in 1942 but i bet if you asked the average person in the street they would never have heard of it?
