What should I do about my hair color?

My hair color is dark brown with some blondish highlights, and I'm trying to dye it to make it closer to my regular haircolor, dirty blonde. I got a box to try a patch test first, and another to actually dye my hair. Well, I just did a patch test, and nothing happened! What should I do?!? Should I try again or go professional?

Ya go professional and ask them LOTS of questions while there doing there job.. like how to do it.. what colors are best for you... and get them to give you tips of what products to use , that way you can do it your self next time..

ok be very careful!!! lol unless ur like me and up for a laugh and can take looking like afool for a while....... coz i just dyed my hair from i guess what ur call dirty blonde, wanting to go a bit ligter and now its a joke, its really yellow but hey ill sort it out ..... ne1 ne ideas? hehe
