Security Of Mail On Ipad

Having set up my iPad for the first time, using my regular (yahoo) address, I find that my mail can be read by anyone using my iPad as no Password can be attached. I am considering obtaining a new email address and resetting my iPad using that address. I can then access my Yahoo mail in the 'normal' manner using my password. Can anyone see a difficulty with this, other than some inconvenience?

Why don't you set a Passcode on the iPad?

If you want to allow other people to use your iPad then using Apple Mail will present a problem as you can't request a password. As you are using Yahoo then check you mail via the internet, not Apple Mail. You can then request a password be entered before Yahoo opens your mail

There's a Yahoo mail app for the iPad that'll be more secure than Apple Mail...
