Good Kind Nhs Dentist Needed - West Midlands - Now Nervous After Dreadful Experience
1 Answers
After years of paying a fortune to private dentists to have overpriced, substandard work done, I'd like to find a kind, patient and understand local NHS dentist. Why am I nervous you ask yourself. A hugely expensive dentist fitted a veneer some years ago. It hurt like crazy when he roughened the tooth before fitting the veneer, but he told me the pain wouldn't last long and to put up with it. A year down the line I ended up with an infection. My new dentist told me that the first dentist had ground the tooth down to such a degree that a nerve canal had been exposed. This allowed an infection to start up. The young woman who did the root canal op on me was newly qualified. I've never experienced pain like it (think Marathon man writ large). Turns out she hadn't used the appropriate blocking anaesthetic to numb the nerve running along the jaw. That was two years ago. I've moved up to the West Midlands and need to have a dental check up as I'm having an op next month and need to make sure my crowns are secure before I have the general anaesthetic. I've tried to find a local dentist but they all receive mixed reviews. I just don't want to make the same mistake again. The bottom line is - I need to find a kind NHS dentist somewhere in Worcestershire/Gloucestershire/Warwickshire. I'd travel anywhere within reason for that matter to find a dentist who won't put the fear of god into me. Are there any dentists out there who can help, or any patients out there who can recommend a dentist. Thank you so much.
