I hate Christmas and would gladly not celebrate it given the choice. I prefer Thanksgiving, where you can reflect and be thankful for the things you have, without religion or a fake birthdays to contend with. And you can still have turkey.

Come to my local garden centre, Christmas started there last week. Must say, it looked a bit strange seeing people in tee shirts and shorts looking at decorations!

We are coming to Brighton overnight at the end of Nov - Hotel Umi offer on Wowcher - I hope it's OK...!

Friends recently had their "honeymoon" weekend at the Umi and got great treatment and an excellent rate.

Great - thank you, janbee? Might do some Christmas shopping there - when I lived in Brighton, I had a policy of never going into the centre on a Saturday in December, it was bedlam!
