Lenovo G570 Won't Start Up

Hi,

I have a Lenovo G570. Randomly one day it just refused to start up. Basically when you press the power button it lights up for a few seconds and you hear the system fan start but then it just switches off.

I have tried removing ram modules and the hard disk and starting to see if they were the cause and then I bought and installed a new system board but the same thing occurs.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what might need to be replaced?

I have googled this!

Thanks

Andy

Maybe the power supply ? Other things shouldn't force a power down. Would be my guess anyway. Unless something is dragging it down and it closes off for protection. Maybe see if it remains up when disconnected, as a starting point to work from ?

Sorry what do you mean disconnected? I have tried with just the battery, tried with just the adapter and then tried with both. Always the same, power button lights up, fan spins (nothing on screen) and then goes off again.
