Clegg Doesn't Like Ed Or Dave !

Clegg has been rude here about both Labour Party and the Tory Party, so just who is he going to go into coalition with next May, if the occasion calls for it ? Who can now doubt that whatever meeting of minds there were between him and dave in 2010, the honeymoon is finally over. I am now beginning to agree with those here on AB that think that this Government won't last until next May, and we may have a constitutional crisis looming.
And this is before dave loses both by-elections today.

he doesn't seem to be open to any offers that Labour might make He will be. And if Labour needs them the way the Tories needed them last time, they'll make an offer.

But if it looks like Labour is going to get the most votes, but will need Clegg to form a workable government, I would expect Labour and the LibDems to be talking, albeit discreetly, well before the Election. So perhaps Ed and Cleggie can bring about a coup d'état and get rid of dave that way.
Nobody wants another coalition but the LibDems always had more in common with Labour than they ever had with the Tories. After all, the modern Liberal Party is formed partly from former members of the Labour Party in the first place.
Cleggie may still be the king-maker you know !

Grumpy...don't be so sure the Clegg will lose his seat next May !
He is defending a 15,284 majority, and the Tories came in second in 2010. UKIP lost their deposit and Labour came in a poor third. The LibDems may lose other seats around the UK but I don't think Sheffield Hallam will be one of them.

The Coalition will last until about March 2015 when the gloves come off for the election. The Conservatives will be in Government alone for 8 weeks, but will not be able to do anything, but electioneer.
The LibDems will lose lots of seats at the General election, but will still be the party with the third most seats. Whether they are kingmakers again depends on how close the election is. I personally don't think it will be close enough for the LibDems to repeat 2010.
