The item finished on the 5th, I've had no communication from the winner, I have sent an invoice twice now. I am a very patient person, but i just wandered how long is a reasonable time to wait for a payment? and what should I do if I get no response? I didn't state a time period for payment as I have never had a problem before.

Any advise gratefully recieved, thanks.

The person might be away or ill, say youl give a bad strike to them and see if they respond, if they are away they should of sent you a message anyway...if you dont hear in the next day or so relist the item?

Hi, yeah I thought that too, or they could have PC problems. I was worried about leaving neg feedback as they will probably do the same just to get back.

I did look at the bid history for them and they have been bidding on other items in the last few days, maybe it's time I got tough, sometimes I'm just too nice for my own good.

It is possible to request the contact details of the buyer and telephone them. If you still dont get a satisfactory reply, report them as a non-paying bidder and offer the item to the next highest bidder

I usually give it at least a week and then send a final invoice stating that you will report them to Ebay if they dont pay within x hours/days.

This has only happened to me once or twice and its highly annoying. And just incase you arent aware, even if they dont pay they can still leave you negative feedback.

Good Luck

This happened to us, after a week I sent an email saying if I hadn't heard within another week then I would relist the item (which I did but no-one bought it)!

Leave it 7 days, if they still don't contact you then leave negative feedback and go for a second chance listing. Worked for me.
You can put a complaint in to e-bay who will then contact this bidder in a formal manner. ebay will not let you do this until 14 days have passed. good luck as it is really annoying when this happens

yeah ive had this prob....7 days after the auction has ended i always send them another invoice and leave it a few days. If after 10 days ive heard nothing i use the contact buyer button and send an email. i usually keep it polie as you never know the reason why payment hasnt been made. Usually write something like: you were the successful bidder on this item but as yet i havent heard from you with regard to payment. Please could you respond to this email to let me know whether you still want the item as i wouldnt want to relist it if you have the intention of completing the purchase. Please could you let me know within 3 days.

This then takes you up to the 14 day mark. Only once have i not had a reply after sending that contact and on that occasion i used the 'disputes' option with ebay and they got it all sorted by emailing the buyer themselves.

hope that helps
