Apparently the local don't want this Sikh school in their nice white, middle class village, on "environmental grounds"...yeah, well if you believe that you can believe anything. I'm sure if Eton or Chaterhouse wanted to open an annex in Stoke Poges, these locals would roll out the red carpet.

But Mr Pickles, the Tory Communities Secretary has overruled the decision and now some of the locals are threatening to vote UKIP !

I can understand the dismay of parents who didn't get their school of choice, that happens every where every year.

I imagine the fear of the unknown in this Sikh Academy has only added to their disappointment.

As for the school existing at all - I don't see an issue.

Well in this instance you need to find another job! Had you been sensible enough to have done a bit of research before blindly accusing others of ‘racism’ you would have known that the area is generally one with a considerable immigrant population - if it wasn’t, logically – and I know you’re big on ‘logic’ - the Sikh faith school wouldn’t exist at all. Have a look at another school in the area - and stop insulting people.
