Slow cooker size
4 Answers
...want to buy a slow cooker, big enough for two; I've seen a 3-litre on sale, but also a 5-litre cooker. What's the best size? The 3-litre looks about right, but should I get a 5-litre to allow for food to 'cook down'?

I bought a slow cooker a few weeks back, opted of the 5 litre one and it was WAY too big and only suitable of you cook for 8-10 people! My 3 litre one is just right. Also food doesn't really cook down in a clow cooker, plus you need to use less liquid than a conventional over, not more so even less space is needed. I did a massive joint of pork on Sunday and there was loads of room, and the only liquid I added was 2 glasses of wine
