80s TV series

Hi its been bugging me for years, but I would like to know the title of a British short TV series shown in the late 1980s. The story was about an accident in a nuclear facility and its starred a well known british actor that i cannot recall his name but i do know he costared in the first Jurassic Park film. The other interesting thing about this series was that the soundtrack was composed and performance by Eric Clapton. any ideas ? IK
