Sandy ironically we had pumpkin soup with a dash of curry oil? yesterday in Grace Neill's Donaghadee yesterday. Really nice but nothing beats a bowl of home made vegetable soup with stepped/boiled peas (mmmm).
Do have a bag in my freezer which I will give to my visitor maybe tomorrow as we have eaten/ate at the Titanic.
I love roasted pumpkin, but it is a bit fattening. Don't use the orange ones - get a chunk of green one, peel it thickly, cut into cubes and roast like parsnips. Use dripping if you can. They taste a bit like parsnips, too. Yum.
