Oscar Pistorius sentencing: Blade Runner is 'a broken man who has lost everything'. Excuse me???? He has his life, his health, his wealth, his fame, his family, etc etc. The woman he shot is the one who lost everything, and her loved ones lost her. Anyone seriously see Pistorius as the victim here?

Criminals like killers and the u-no-hoo rapist are often portrayed as "the victim". Shame on them and all who support them.

It’s worth remembering that Pistorius is also facing sentencing for his conviction for the negligent use of a firearm, when he fired a gun in a crowded restaurant a month before he shot Reeva Steenkamp.

Neither side dwelt on this issue during the sentencing hearing, understandably focusing on the far more serious charge of culpable homicide. But Pistorius could face a maximum of five years in prison on the firearms charge...
