I thought the final episode last night was wonderful. I realised I was watching with a smile on my face for most of the time - not Smurf's death, obviously, but I would certainly be in the queue for Ben Aldridge if I was 50 years younger. Ends tidied up nicely, a really feel good ending.

Just something about him and you obviously feel the same. Seriously though I thought it was such a lovely programme and Lacey played Molly Daws so well. Sad about Smurf though that was unexpected. Wonder if we will get a sequel. Hope so.
One of the most ridiculous series I have watched, oh so amateurish.
It might have been a little more believable if the one female had been amongst a number of other females, but one and sleeping in a tent along with a crowd of men?
I don't know what anyone who has served in the Afghanistan campaign thought about it, but to me it was a prime example why women should not be on the front line.
East end girl meets Toff Captain who falls in love with her and sets her up in his mansion, yeh?

i thought it was fluffy and quite poorly written (that bloody clunky dialogue they were looking embarrassed to say last week) and large parts of it did not make sense. However , i really enjoyed it as sunday night fluff and think lacey turner is a great actress. I can't imagine how it could be used as a real world argument as to why women can't serve on the front line though

Lovely to see your comments. perhaps it's a 'girlie' thing old git, we didn't really care whether it was factually accurate (sorry but in my case that's how it was), I just melted at the way the Boss looked at Molly. I wish he could look at me like that, but no chance, at 74 minus 4 days there's no hope for me, or you, patsy ann!!!
