Dog Food

My friend feeds her dog dog food, but also when her boyfriend leaves early for work she treats it, But not with dog treat, with things like lasagne, cheerios, cheese in a bone..

Is this good for the dog

i use small bits of cheese when training, as treats and i have heard of people doing the same thing with cheerios, but i wouldnt give lasagne to a dog. all they really need to have is dog food.

Although we feed our dogs dog food I don't think the sky will fall if she feeds it moderate amounts of other things, one of our older dogs in particular is a real scrap eating dog. Try and avoid obviously poisonous things like chocolate and vast quantities of gravy ( too salty), but generally it doesn't really hurt them, although it's wholly unnecessary.It's her dog,her choice, she won't kill it but it won't improve it's health either.
