Is My Naval Piercing Rejecting?

I've had my piercing for almost three weeks.

Everything has been alright so far. I get a few crusties on the piercing, and an occasional clear liquid seeping from the top hole.

Today, the liquid oozing was a more yellowy colour, the hole looks bigger, and its almost as if theres a small bubble of skin at the top of the top hole. The top hole also looks larger than before.

What should I do?

UPDATE: also, for 2 weeks i have been ill, so my immune system is down.... maybe that makes a difference i dont know :P

My sister had that bubble of skin which didn't go until she took it out.

I had mine done 20 odd years ago. No crusting, no weeping.

If I were you I'd bath it in salted water on a regular basis.

You need to see your GP and your piercer, meanwhile thoroughly wash your piercing at least 3 times a day with hot salt water, I would suggest seeing your piercer before your Gp. I think a course of antibiotics in needed, do not take the piercing out unless advised to by your piercer.

As with any wound (which, after all, is what a piercing really is), if it's not healing properly, see your GP.

PS: I assume that you meant to type 'navel'. If you had a 'naval piercing' you'd probably sink ;-)
