Who sings the song that goes 'Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and grey'? It was on the Simpsons last night. I did a Googel search and it came up with a few answers that said something like it was a story?

It was written & sung by Don McLean - its called Vincent and is apparently about Van Gogh

It is indeed a song about Vincent Van Gogh and concerns the painting Starry Nightm, which he painted while at Saint Remy asylum. Arguably his most famous, or at least a close second to Sunflowers. you can see it here http://www.vangoghgallery.com/painting/p_0612.htm

Yes Don Mc Clean..yes Vincent Van Gough..who also did a painting called 'Starry Night'..cut off his ear..and comitted suicide. I have seen Starry Night..and I think I'd do the same, not good.
