How Do I Get Rid Of Unpleasant Pages On Facebook?

Don't go on facebook that often but when I do I look down my page and often see porno type messages and photos and arabic script and allsorts. Don't know how they got there or why but don't know how to get rid of them. They are not connected to any of my very few friends but they annoy me!

Sounds like you need to improve the privacy of you page to only allow your friends/family to post.

I am sure someone better qualified will tell you how to do that.

I have all the privacy settings on and I have checked all that and these are not personal 'Posts' exactly, they are just random pages as I scroll down. I don't understand and not sure how to explain it obviously.

Go to the top right hand corner of the post and click on the downward arrow. ^ like that but facing down. It gives you options from there.

They are probably ads. targeted at you by the details on your facebook page.

They don't look like ads-some are photos and messages but very random, and it looks like Arabic script so I don't know what theyre saying and I don't think I want to find out !

Aha -thanks Ummm I have found the arrow and have clicked on 'I don't want to see this'. One of the things says 'report this post' . Should I do this if it looks a bit porny or not. What actually happens if I report it?

Why do you need Facebook in the first place? If you have friends you can contact them via email, thus avoiding the rest of the world who may be up to no good.

There are a few 'companies' that I follow including one I work for and some of my family post general stuff and photos on facebook, so I do like it and use it every so often. My problem isn't too upsetting, is just a bit irritating and Ive seen a few images like rather scantily dressed women lately.

Blackadder, we could extend that argument to E Mail though, requests from 'Saucy Susie to meet up' or endless Viagra on special offer type junk.
