Re installing Windows XP

I had a counterfeit copy of windows XP.

Having bought a legitimate copy of it I now get an error notice when I try to play CD's " Audio system error.

Can anyone let me know what to do.

Assuming that you re-installed XP from your legit CD, you will also need to re-install all your device drivers, including any motherboard drivers, etc. Presumably you have one or more driver CDs that came with the computer.
