I had windows xp for over 7 years and my old laptop eventually had to be put down . Since August, I now have 8.1 and I fought for months against buying it.. However, a friend of mine, who is a techie genius by the way, set it up to run like my old xp. For starters, he got rid of those silly tile things. If you know someone like that, they can no doubt do the same for you Baths. Good luck. xx

Google, then download classic shell. It makes Windows 8.1 operate as the old Windows

@janbee...aaww, that's lucky for you,...my techie genius friend has moved away + I really miss him at times like this.
