I have never suggested otherwise AOG, nor did this relative. By the way, he went over there for some money, not big money, because there was widespread unemployment in the building trade over here, as I have already said today.
Far from being inconvenienced, he settled down quite well when he was in Germany and learnt the language. His German employer made him a sort of charge-hand, over other Brits, because of his language skills. If my memory is correct, he worked over there for about 4-5 years and would have liked to have brought his wife and young family over, perhaps more permanently. But his wife wasn't keen, which I fully understand.
But his hypocrisy, and others like him, still needs to be challenged. Its even worse amongst some of our unemployed, where they continually whinge about people taking the jobs that they themselves won't leave the Dole to do.
Hypocrites leave themselve open wide to criticism, and only have themselves to blame when it backfires in their faces.
