Why is everyone on tv wearing poppies so early? I thought the celebrations weren't until next month. Has some sort of government directive been issued to the media execs?

"If you are a seller, why not just use one of the ones you sell?"

That would be theft!
Not if you buy it.(you must have thought of that?)

I can't afford to buy one, I don't have a job.
So how is the one in the envelope paid for?
Why have you headed this "War Horse"?

There have been notices in the papers for the last few days from the RBL saying that poppies go on sale this weekend, so I'm not surprised to see people wearing them.

You put in what you can afford when you buy a poppy, 10p is quite acceptable.....

"so how is the one in the envelope paid for?"

My peace loving friends send me a free one every year along with a food parcel.

Wasn't there a film about a horse that was forced to go to war against it's wishes?
I see it's a bug bear of yours, Jude. You asked the same question last year

As for my poppy, I'll start wearing one on Nov 1st
poppy goes on Nov 1
I've also ordered two ceramic poppies from The Tower of London. If you haven't already seen this display, then please ,do try to get there for a look. You won't be disappointed. WONDERFUL, magnificent display. p
p.s. Take plenty paper hankies with you. It's very moving and humbling.
I have ordered one for mum Jan !
She'll love it minty. Each one is handmade , they're not mass produced by machine. There are 888246 of them most of them have now sold. Still a few left if anyone else is interested.
