I want to install a new toilet (with the down pipe going into the wall) where a old style toilet (with the down pipe going into the floor) was. Is there any way i can do this? And what would I need to do/ buy to do it. Thanks

You can simply fit a 90 degree bend to the spigot (sticky-outey bit), and connect to the floor collar (hole in floor.)

You'll need to bring the back wall forward though, or the pan will be too far from the wall.
You could bring the wall forward as The Builder suggests but use a built-in cistern then you don't lose space. I have put loos in two bathrooms in our flat in that manner, one of them suspended. They look ultra modern and the shelf provided by the new wall runs the width of the bathroom and is very handy.
You could always do it this way (19 seconds into the video) ...
