would like to buy a shower board, do you buy it for the external bath measurements, or the internal ones? and is "near enough" ok?

they should be adjustable and you measure the outside dimension. you need enough of a lip at the wall side of the bath so it can sit stably and dont get one that is too long because it will stick out too far from the bath edge and when you sit on the end before you swing your legs around it will act like a seesaw and the far end will flip up. you might be able to borrow one from your local red cross loan store if you have one, to see if ot will work before you buy. if you have got a solid shower screen they are tricky to fit at all and wont work within the shower screen
http://www.dlf.org.uk/factsheets/bathing a good place to start. if you google "choosing and fitting bath boards", many local authorities have put their advice sheets online too. hope this helps, shout if i can advise further

the bath is 700 ml wide (outside) would this do do you think? Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation
I would want to know the maximum and minimum adjustments of the supporting brackets (widest to narrowest) and how it is adjusted and how the brackets are secured. Homecraft are a decent brand though. I would also rather have one that was slightly longer than the bath measurement and not slightly shorter, as in this case....also I would like to know what the weight limit is. (none intended :) )

ah well it's not for me, so i think she's probably about 12 stone!
That's kind of teetering on the edge of what the weight limit might be.....
