rolls phantom - ugly (poll)

the esoteric world of the motoring press consider the rools royce phantom to be a beautiful car- and then with the same breath have the audacity to call a porsche cayenne ugly.Now i find the phantom intruiging personally but reckon most members of public would consider it a hideously ugly car(although not as ugly as a scorpio, mulitpla or current micra) - so is it the phantom beautiful or as, i suspect, many will say ugly?

Pretty ugly I have to agree but then I think the Cayenne was hit with the ugly stick on it's way out of the factory too!

My opinion on Rollers are they simply speak "Old Money" It's a class thing and the aesthetics are as much to do about breeding as actual beauty.

The rolls is beautiful because it is based on many RR's previous design elements. It has a prescence like no other on the road. There are a few things I would change but it is more about respectability than aesthetics.

The Cayenne is for the insecure with money who want the name 'Porsche' with 4x4 'security'. Tasteless, I'm afraid. If you want a 4x4 get a Range Rover. If you want a sports car get a conventional Porsche if you must. To go for a Cayenne is accepting compromise between the two.

I completely agree with your comments on the Multipla and Micra (the Micra looks like a frog!)

It's hidious, whatever the badge may say there is no way this is a Rolls Royce as they are beautiful cars.Trust the Germans to spoil another fine British institution.
