I have seen a reference to a 1901 Belfast refreshment house and wondered if it would have been licensed to sell beer, wines and spirits or did it just sell tea, coffee etc? Any info would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks.

Have you got a name of the establishment? If if was something like Lyons Corner House, then tea and cakes...

No name boxtops, just a mention in a book that a chap died in a Belfast refreshment house. However he was known to like the odd drink or two so perhaps it`s a fair to assume that it was licensed.
