it's been made to look like that by the unscrupulous, but zero hours contracts have their place, and can suit those who are on them. a lot of my company's drivers are semi retired, and carry on working because they enjoy it. a zero hours contract allows them to take or decline work as it suits them, but now because of the stigma attached, we've had to amend and guarantee all our drivers at least 30 shifts a year.
