Not often I stick my neck out to recommend a book but I have just finished reading Entry Island by Peter May. Fantastic read, couldn't put it down. You won't be disappointed.

BTW Maggie, Did you go and see the poppies at the Tower? I recall your saying you were going about now.
I'm a Peter May fan but was disappointed in this book. Messing about with 'back in time', plus some quite serious mistakes on the Scottish front - don't know about Canadian bits.
The Enzo Macleod series for me is much better, both as literature and as crime novel.
Marjie - much prefer the China thrillers to the Enzo ones. Each to his own I suppose but I loved Entry Island. My comment would be that it is a thriller, it's not supposed to be a history book.
Janbee - going to London on Thursday so hope to see the poppies at the Tower on Saturday - if we can get near them that is.
