Futurama?

I heard that 'Futurama' had been cancelled and the studio that makes it won't bother with it anymore.

Is this true? Because it is a great show and a damn shame.

It is true and happened a couple of years ago i think.

I did read somewhere recently that they were reviewing that decision however, so there may be hope that new episodes of futurama may yet be made

I had heard that the fox network (who were in charge of it) cancelled it because it was funnier and cleverer (which it was) than The Simpsons (which fox also made). So they got rid of a show just because it rivaled their main cartoon. It never occured to them that both shows were stable mate and not rivals. That's just what i heard, i'm not saying the fat cats at the fox network are morons but......

I think they've followed the Family Guy route of cancelling the show, realising how popular it was due to DVD sales, then recommissioned it.
