I only joined a couple of months ago too and it's good fun. I can't wait to find out what's going on here sometimes. especially when i've had a bad day at work. This place chills me out .

I've, or should I say we've been here a couple o months. Love listening to some of your guys just getting to know the 'regulars' but still feeling a tad like an outsider, you all know each other SO well. From the username you've prob guessed its two of us! And I'm getting 'What you answering to now?' It fun ! Love him to bits but praps I should sign on on me tod! Just packed up the dreaded weed too - four days whooooo, so I need AB to do somethin to take me mind of em! Yes Kate swapped one addiction for another!

Seeandess...ive only been on 6 or 7 weeks uder various names.

There is a community spirit amoungst peops who have never met each other.

there tends to be cliques formed. but the clique im involved in is growing all the time. Im even part of a clique on a single thread in P&P...the 400 and odd one.

There is a clique in sport... and one for B&S and P&P combined.

You just have to watch out for the ABers who have a bit of an attitude...and want arguments.

There have been a lot of friendly threads on B&S in last week or so.. a great many of which are by Whiskey....so peops have got to know each other very quickly.. A catchy name does come in handy so you become known and part of a clique easier.

Once Id been on a week or so I was desparate for a cool name. Ive had this since yesterday....was Zorro for 2 weeks b4 that and everyone on AB seemed to get to know the name.

Zorro was a character...it was to be a 2nd name riding round in the background...then i went live with it and had a hell of a lot of fun with it...he became very famous on here. everyones famous for 15 minutes.

I've been here over 2 years (including my previous alias) and I'm more addicted now than I used to be. It's ridiculously moreish is AB. I think the site is a lot friendlier than it has been at times in the past, and I'm glad. Alot of the folk who seemed to think AB was "theirs" have dropped off elsewhere, and the whole feel of the site is much more inclusive I think. That said, 2 years in, I have developed favourite topics, and now just avoid the ones which can get narky or intense, which has helped.

I was on here loads in the days of Chatterbank. CB was (in my view) not so much destroyed by mischievous aliasing as by a few notable individuals whingeing on and on about it to AB Editor.

A lot of us decamped and joined another site, but it gets yawningly boring. This was and is the best ever !

I have had to go three days without any internet access, as it's been down in our house since Monday. I've been going crazy, I didn't realised how addicted to AB I really was. Our internet has only just been fixed about half an hour ago, and the first thing I did was to come on here!
