every time I use my credit card online, it appears that it has to be security verified by visa. up pops this box into which I have to put my user name and password. every time I do this, the system tells me my password is invalid. I have now had 8 password re-sets since the 12th of October.

Who on earth runs this poxy system that I might complain to? I'm getting pretty fed up with it......

rant over.

Contact and complain to your Credit Card Company. There is obviously a mismatch going on.

Meant to add, I have used the 'Verified by Visa' for some time with no problems.
Hi Mushroom,

When I get directed to that site it normally only asks for 3 random digits from my password. I have had to reset my password a couple of times because Visa wouldn't recognise it. I sort of found out by accident that sites I visit quite regularly that use this system would not accept the new reset password and I have used the old one no problem.

It seems to be whenever you use a site for the first time that they would ask for a new password. If you have used a site previously with no problem try putting in an older password and see what happens. Otherwise I suppose your bank may be able to point you in the right direction.

I find that it pops up during the payment but then goes away and the payment goes ahead. Does it have a limit under which the authentication is automatic? I rarely spend large amounts on line.
i'm the same as zebo too
I had the same problem when I had Kaspersky security. I had no problem with Norton or now, with AVG.
