When sewing, it is NOT a good idea to hold a pin between your lips when you have hiccups.
Luckily the offending pin embedded itself in my tongue and I was able to remove it with tweezers.

mrs ogwad I have the same bad habit of holding pins like that when sewing and that is always the moment OH asks a question and then says "well answer me clearly. don't mutter." thoughts on my part are unprintable.
